Infinity Fields, Lefkada Series

'Infinity Fields, Lefkada Series' by Theodoros Stamos exemplifies his development within the abstract and color field painting movements. As a Greek-American painter and one of the youngest in the original abstract expressionist group, Stamos explores vast, luminous fields of color that evoke a sense of infinity and transcendence. The painting’s expansive, immersive quality reflects his interest in creating emotional resonance through abstract forms and color. Despite his innovative vision, later years were overshadowed by personal struggles linked to the Rothko case, impacting his artistic legacy.
