Infinity Field, Lefkada Series

'Infinity Field, Lefkada Series' by Theodoros Stamos exemplifies his evolution within abstract art, blending expansive color explorations with a meditative quality. As a Color field painting piece, it features vast, luminous planes that evoke a sense of infinite space, reflecting Stamos's interest in conveying profound emotional resonance through color. His association with the original abstract expressionists places him among notable artists like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. However, his later life, marred by involvement in the Rothko case, overshadowed his artistic achievements. This work captures the spiritual essence and lyrical abstraction characteristic of his mature style.
