Infinity Field, Lefkada Series

'Infinity Field, Lefkada Series' by Theodoros Stamos exemplifies his mastery of abstract art within the color field painting tradition. This work features expansive, luminous color planes that evoke a sense of infinite space and meditative calm, characteristic of Stamos’s exploration of form and hue. As one of the youngest abstract expressionist painters, Stamos aimed to evoke emotion through subtle variations in color and tone, creating an immersive visual experience. His later years, however, were marred by controversy related to the Rothko case, impacting his artistic legacy.
