"Flowers" is a famous Pop art series by American artist Andy Warhol, showcasing vibrant silkscreen paintings of hibiscus blossoms. Based on a photograph by Patricia Caulfield, these flower paintings exemplify Warhol’s fascination with mass media and consumer culture. Debuted at the Leo Castelli Gallery in 1964, the series was notable for its bold colors and repetitive imagery, characteristic of Warhol’s style. He also created a second series for his 1965 exhibition in Paris at the Ileana Sonnabend Gallery, producing the well-known Flowers portfolio in 1970, cementing his status in modern art history.
