"Flowers" is a compelling Pop art series by American artist Andy Warhol, showcasing his distinctive approach to flower painting. The series comprises silkscreen prints based on a photograph of hibiscus blossoms taken by Patricia Caulfield. First exhibited in 1964 at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York, Warhol expanded the series for his 1965 show at the Ileana Sonnabend Gallery in Paris, eventually producing the Flowers portfolio in 1970. Through these works, Warhol explores themes of mass production and popular culture, elevating an everyday flower to iconic status within the realm of Pop art.
