"Madonna and Child with St. John and St. Jerome" is an Italian religious painting created by Parmigianino during the Mannerism (late renaissance) period, circa 1535-1540. The panel depicts the Madonna with the infant Jesus, accompanied by St. John and St. Jerome, rendered in characteristic elongated forms and elegant gestures typical of Mannerism. Executed in oil paint, the work showcases Parmigianino's distinctive style, which was intended for a funerary chapel in Parma. Although incomplete at his death, the painting has a rich history, having been acquired by Ferdinando de’ Medici and displayed at the Uffizi since 1948.
