Spaces

"Spaces" by Geta Brătescu is a compelling exploration of form and perception that reflects her diverse practice spanning drawing, collage, photography, and film. The work embodies elements of Abstract art, emphasizing geometric and intangible realms, while subtly echoing influences of Abstract expressionism through its bold gestures and emotional intensity. Brătescu’s manipulation of space invites viewers to reconsider the boundaries between reality and imagination, blending media to create a layered narrative. As part of her broader artistic oeuvre, "Spaces" exemplifies her ability to transmute everyday materials into poetic visual experiences that challenge conventional perceptions.
