Spaces

"Spaces" by Geta Brătescu is an evocative exploration of abstract forms and the subjective experience of environments. As a Romanian visual artist known for her diverse practice—including drawing, collage, photography, performance, and film—Brătescu often blurs the boundaries between mediums. In this work, she employs elements reminiscent of abstract expressionism, emphasizing spontaneous gesture and emotional intensity. The piece invites viewers into a contemplative realm where space becomes a metaphor for memory and identity, reflecting her unique approach to art as a dialogue between personal narrative and universal themes.
