"Vision of a Knight", also known as The Dream of Scipio or Allegory, is a small Oil painting on poplar wood by Raphael, created in 1503–1504 during the High renaissance. This egg tempera work, housed in the National Gallery in London, exemplifies Renaissance ideals of harmony and perspective. Though it shares a size of 17 cm square with its companion piece, the Three Graces, it also reflects elements of genre painting by blending allegorical and everyday motifs. The painting’s intricate symbolism and refined technique reveal Raphael’s mastery of Renaissance art.
