Blau profund

'Blau profund' by Albert Ràfols-Casamada exemplifies his evolution from figurative to abstract art, reflecting his poetic approach to everyday reality. Although rooted in the post-expressionist tradition, the work demonstrates a mature style grounded in the principles of Art informel, emphasizing spontaneous, gestural brushwork and rich texture. The deep blue tones evoke profound emotion and contemplative depth, encapsulating Ràfols-Casamada’s unique synthesis of artistic experimentation and poetic sensibility. This piece highlights his importance as a multifaceted Catalan artist committed to blending visual abstraction with poetic and cultural expression.
