Still Life

"Ilya Ivanovich Mashkov was a prominent Russian artist associated with the Jack of Diamonds group, known for his vibrant and expressive style. His painting titled Still Life exemplifies his mastery of bold colors and dynamic compositions, reflecting influences from Fauvism. Mashkov's approach to still life often breaks away from traditional realism, emphasizing emotional intensity and vivid brushwork. This work captures a lively, almost tangible essence of everyday objects, positioning Mashkov as a key figure in early 20th-century Russian avant-garde art."
