Paolo Caliari, known as Paolo Veronese, created the religious painting "St Sebastian," showcasing his mastery as a superb colorist within the Italian Renaissance. Veronese, part of the "great trio" alongside Titian and Tintoretto, was renowned for his large-scale works of religion and mythology. Initially influenced by Mannerism (late renaissance), he later developed a naturalist style inspired by Titian. Though primarily known for Fresco and history paintings, Veronese's "St Sebastian" exemplifies his ability to blend divine themes with vivid coloration and composition.
