The Esterhazy Madonna is a masterful religious painting by Raphael, created around 1508 during the High renaissance. Executed on a panel with oil paints, it exemplifies the elegance and harmony characteristic of Raphael's work. The painting, now housed at the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, was stolen in 1983 along with other masterpieces but was later recovered by the Italian Carabinieri in Greece. This Tempera-like canvas captures the divine grace and serenity associated with Renaissance religious art.
