'Portrait of Jeronimo de Cevallos' is an outstanding piece of artwork created by El Greco during his late period in Toledo from 1609 to 1613. Deftly employing oil on canvas, El Greco has brought to life a meticulous portrait of his subject, evincing hints of his characteristic Mannerism (late renaissance). Prior to being a part of Museo del Prado's collection, this striking piece originally adorned the walls of the Quinta del Duque del Arco at the Royal Palace of El Pardo in Madrid.
