The "Marriage of the Virgin," or Ginori Altarpiece, is a 1523 oil on panel painting by Rosso Fiorentino, signed and dated by the artist. This religious painting was commissioned for a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph in Florence's Basilica of San Lorenzo. It exemplifies Mannerism (late renaissance) style, characterized by elongated figures and vibrant colors. Originally owned by the Masi family, it was acquired by the Ginori family in 1520 and still hangs in the basilica today. A drawn copy attributed to Antonio Circignani is now held in the Louvre.
