Christ healing the blind man
'Christ Healing the Blind Man' is an exquisite example of a sixteenth-century Religious Painting, thoughtfully executed by El Greco around 1573. Utilizing oil as his medium, the painting vividly illustrates Christ's divine act of healing the blind man, a theme El Greco had previously touched upon five years earlier. This narrative is brought to life on a panel, signed distinctly by the artist on the bottom right hand corner. Embodying the noteworthy artistic elements of Mannerism (late renaissance), El Greco successfully returned to the theme, with the painting now residing in the Galleria nazionale di Parma.
