Cosmic Characters

"Cosmic Characters" is a captivating gouache painting that masterfully blends romantic symbolism with abstract elements. Inspired by Mihai Eminescu’s Luceafărul, the artwork evokes a mythopoeic universe where celestial figures embody existential themes and poetic ideals. Its abstract expressionism influences are evident in dynamic brushstrokes and vibrant colors, creating an immersive sense of cosmic depth. The use of gouache allows for rich, opaque layers that enhance both the mythological symbolism and modern abstract aesthetic. Overall, "Cosmic Characters" invites viewers into a poetic cosmos, bridging Romanian folklore, Romantic themes, and the profound introspection of the artist’s philosophical muse.
