Carnival

George Stefanescu’s 1978 artwork titled Carnival exemplifies his mastery in Expressionism, capturing intense emotions and vibrant energy through bold Oil paint on canvas. Emerging from Romania’s artistic scene, Stefanescu’s style often blurs the boundaries of genre painting, embracing dynamic compositions and vivid color palettes. The title Carnival echoes a celebration of life’s exuberance and chaos, inviting viewers into a spirited world of visual rhythm. The painting’s technique and expressive power reflect the artist’s daring approach within the context of 20th-century modernism.
