Gamle kjerring

"Gamle kjerring" is a compelling painting that blends elements of Realism with a touch of expressive detail. The artist skillfully captures the weathered appearance and character of an elderly woman, emphasizing authentic details through careful Sketch and study techniques that highlight her rugged features and life experience. The work reflects a sincere portrayal of everyday life, eschewing idealization and instead focusing on honest representation. While rooted in realistic depiction, the painting’s composition and color choices suggest subtle influences of Surrealism, adding depth and intrigue to the viewer's experience.
