Inner Space

Luciano Bartolini’s 1986 artwork titled Inner Space exemplifies the dynamic qualities of Abstract art through its exploration of non-representational forms and textures. Rooted in the post-war European tradition of Art informel, Bartolini employs spontaneous gestures and textured surfaces to evoke an introspective dimension implied by the title. The piece emphasizes the intangible qualities of internal experience, captured through layered compositions and an expressive, gestural technique. Bartolini’s work situates itself within the broader trajectory of modern abstraction, creating an immersive visual environment that challenges conventional spatial perceptions and invites contemplation of the self’s unseen depths.
