Ananas Tropical

Lourdes Castro’s 1970 artwork Ananas Tropical exemplifies her innovative approach within the realm of Figurative art, blending vivid colors and bold forms. Rooted in the aesthetics of Pop art, the piece captures the vibrant essence suggested by its tropical pineapple title. Castro’s technique often involves layering and silhouette play, creating dynamic compositions that emphasize both form and color. Ananas Tropical reflects her engagement with everyday imagery transformed through artistic expression, positioning her work within a modern dialogue on representation and abstraction in late 20th-century art.
