Nude

Ilya Ivanovich Mashkov was a prominent Russian artist associated with the Jack of Diamonds group, known for his vibrant and expressive style. His painting titled Nude exemplifies his mastery in capturing the human form through bold brushwork and vivid colors, reflecting the influence of Fauvism. As a significant example of the Nude painting (nu) tradition, the artwork emphasizes raw emotion and a departure from traditional realism, making it a characteristic piece of Mashkov's innovative approach to figure painting.
