Still Life

Ilya Ivanovich Mashkov, a prominent Russian artist associated with the Jack of Diamonds group, crafted a vibrant Still life painting that showcases his bold use of Oil paints on canvas. Influenced by Post-impressionism, his work emphasizes vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes, bringing everyday objects to life with intense emotion. The composition captures a moment frozen in time, emphasizing texture and form typical of still life art, while demonstrating Mashkov’s mastery in blending Impressionist vibrancy with a unique Russian modernist perspective.
