Denise com carneiro branco

Candido Portinari, a renowned Brazilian painter and influential figure in Neo-realism, created the artwork titled Denise com carneiro branco. This portrait depicts a young woman holding a white sheep, using bold colors and expressive forms. While Portinari was primarily associated with social themes and realism, this painting subtly exhibits elements of Cubism through fractured and geometrized forms. The work reflects his mastery in blending realistic portrayals with innovative styles, capturing both the tenderness and strength of his subject.
