Our Tradition (Notre tradition)

"Unsere Tradition (Notre tradition)," created by Pierre Alechinsky in 1974, exemplifies his distinctive approach to Neo-expressionism. As a prominent Belgian artist associated with the CoBrA movement, Alechinsky is renowned for his dynamic, gestural Figurative elements, blending abstraction with recognizable forms. The title hints at cultural and personal continuity, conveyed through bold gestures and expressive brushwork characteristic of Alechinsky's expressive style, emphasizing tradition within an avant-garde framework.
