The "Adoration of the Magi" Uffizi Triptych, created around 1460 by Andrea Mantegna, is a notable example of religious painting from the Early renaissance. This group of three tempera-on-panel works features the central scene of the Magi presenting gifts to the newborn Christ, emphasizing its significance. The triptych also depicts the Ascension of Christ and the Circumcision of Christ. Although assembled as a trio in the 19th century, some art historians debate whether they were originally designed as a unified set. Currently, these panels are housed in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
