The Portrait of Bia de' Medici is a tempera on panel created around 1542 by the Italian Agnolo Bronzino, a prominent Mannerism (late renaissance) painter. This elegant portrait depicts young Bia de' Medici with refined grace, characteristic of Bronzino's sophisticated style. Originally displayed in the Tribuna of the Uffizi, it has since been moved to the "sale rosse" since 2012. Although a second portrait by Pontormo is sometimes suggested as a depiction of Bia, this attribution remains contested, adding to the painting’s intriguing history.
