"Dr. Pozzi at Home" is an 1881 oil painting by John Singer Sargent, capturing the French gynaecologist and art collector Samuel Jean de Pozzi. Notable as Sargent's first large portrait of a male subject, it measures 201.6 cm by 102.2 cm and highlights his mastery of Realism. The canvas depicts Pozzi in a relaxed setting within his home. This work was also his debut at the Royal Academy in London and has been part of the Hammer Museum’s collection since 1991, where it continues to exemplify Sargent’s skill in capturing personality and atmosphere.
