Cassis. The view from the window.

"Cassis. The view from the window." by Pyotr Petrovich Konchalovsky exemplifies his innovative approach to Cubism. As a founding member and Chairman of the Knave of Diamonds group, Konchalovsky was known for blending vibrant colors and geometric shapes to depict everyday scenes. In this painting, he captures a picturesque Cityscape view through a window, presenting a fragmented yet cohesive perspective characteristic of Cubist style. The work reflects his interest in combining modernist techniques with realist themes, offering viewers a dynamic glimpse into the coastal town of Cassis, seen through a distinctive artistic lens.
