Ocean Park #19

"Ocean Park #19" by Richard Diebenkorn exemplifies his signature color field painting style within the abstract series known as the Ocean Park paintings. Created on canvas, it features lyrical, geometric forms that evoke the shimmering California light and expansive spaces Diebenkorn cherished. The artist's mastery of oil paints allows for subtle nuances, while his earlier works sometimes incorporated charcoal. This piece reflects a harmonious blend of abstraction and natural inspiration, characteristic of Diebenkorn's influential contribution to American art.
