Snowy Landscape

"Snowy Landscape" by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner exemplifies his mastery of Expressionism, capturing raw emotion and subjective perception. As a founder of the Die Brücke group, Kirchner used bold colors and distorted forms to explore human inner feelings. This painting depicts a bleak, snow-covered Landscape, emphasizing the starkness and emotional intensity characteristic of his style. His work reflects personal turmoil, influenced by his wartime experiences and subsequent mental health struggles. Despite facing condemnation from the Nazi regime, Kirchner's distinctive approach to landscape painting continues to influence modern art.
