Girl with Burak

Alexey Venetsianov’s 1824 artwork Girl with Burak exemplifies the artist’s commitment to Realism, capturing everyday life with meticulous detail. Venetsianov, known for his sensitive and sincere depictions, employs oil on canvas to render the portrait of a young girl, as suggested by the title. The work emphasizes naturalism and simplicity, reflecting the era’s focus on authentic rural scenes.
