"Portrait of a Woman" by Tintoretto, created around 1588, exemplifies the techniques of Mannerism (late renaissance). Painted in oil on canvas, this portrait showcases Tintoretto's masterful handling of color and composition. Originally part of the Orleans Collection, it was acquired for Marie Antoinette with the Château de Saint-Cloud in 1785 and is now housed in the Louvre in Paris. The work's elegant and elongated features reflect the stylistic nuances typical of late Renaissance Mannerism in Venetian art.
