The Monforte Altarpiece, an exquisite example of Northern renaissance Religious painting, depicts the Adoration of the Magi in an Oil-on-Panel format by Flemish artist Hugo van der Goes. Originally part of a triptych with movable wings—now lost—the central panel was once flanked by scenes of the Nativity and Circumcision of Jesus, evidenced by copies. The top portion was recently reconstructed for a 2023 exhibition, showcasing the intricate craftsmanship of this Religious masterpiece. The work exemplifies the rich detail and spiritual symbolism characteristic of van der Goes' style.
