Apple Orchard

"Apple Orchard" is a vibrant genre painting that captures a bucolic scene of ripening apples in an orchard. Rendered on canvas, the artist employs rich oil paints to evoke warm, lush colors characteristic of Art nouveau (modern) influences. Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Great October Revolution, the painting was part of the 1977 Anniversary Exhibition of Leningrad artists at the Central Exhibition Hall Maneze, emphasizing art’s role as a gift for the people. The work celebrates traditional Russian themes through a modern aesthetic, blending natural beauty with artistic innovation.
