Forest into the frost

"Forest into the frost" captures the haunting beauty of Belarus's wetlands, illustrating a Landscape transformed by the cold embrace of winter. The painting employs Realism to depict the intricate textures of swampy terrains like Pinsk Marshes and Yelnya Swamp, emphasizing their vital role in the natural ecosystem. The icy foliage and frozen marshes evoke a sense of quiet transformation, highlighting the importance of Belarus's vast wetlands—covering around 2.5 million hectares—in shaping its environmental identity.
