"Study for the Adoration of the Magi" is an unfinished Early renaissance painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Created around 1481, it was a sketch and study for a larger work commissioned by the Augustinian monks of San Donato in Scopeto, Florence. The artist only completed a preliminary paper drawing in charcoal, ink, and watercolor before leaving for Milan. Since 1670, this significant preparatory work has been housed in the Uffizi Gallery.
