The Portrait of Laura Dianti, created circa 1520–25 by Titian, exemplifies High renaissance mastery and is now part of the H. Kisters Collection in Kreuzlingen. Executed in Oil on Canvas, the painting depicts Laura Dianti, mistress and later wife of Duke Alfonso I d'Este, dressed in a blue gown with her hand resting on an African page's shoulder as he gazes upward. The artwork, possibly linked to a portrait of the duke, gained notoriety as it was used to challenge their marriage’s legitimacy after Alfonso's death. Initially mistaken for copies, a restoration revealed Titian's signature, confirming its authenticity and significance.
