The sleepers

"The Sleepers" by Pablo Picasso (1965) exemplifies his exploration of Surrealism through a striking composition that blends figuration and abstraction. Created using oil on canvas, the work portrays sleeping figures with dreamlike, distorted forms, evoking a sense of subconscious introspection. Although Picasso is renowned for pioneering Cubism and constructed sculpture, this painting also demonstrates his interest in genre and narrative painting, capturing intimate, everyday moments through a surreal lens.
