"Vilabertran" (1913) is an early landscape painting by the Spanish Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, created when he was approximately nine years old. This oil painting on cardboard depicts a rural scene from Vilabertran, a place Dalí frequently explored and illustrated during his youth. Although influenced by Impressionism in its loose brushwork and bright palette, the work hints at Dalí's evolving style that would later embrace Surrealism more fully. As one of his earliest pieces, it showcases the precocious talent and artistic curiosity that would define his extraordinary career.
