The Colossus of Rhodes is a Oil painting by the Spanish Salvador Dalí, created in 1954 as part of a series for the 1956 film Seven Wonders of the World. This mythological painting depicts the ancient Greek statue of Helios, the sun titan, emphasizing Dalí’s signature Surrealism style. Executed on a canvas, the artwork was not used in the film but was donated to the Kunstmuseum Bern in 1981. It powerfully combines mythological themes with Dalí’s dreamlike, surreal vision.
