"Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee" is a remarkable Religious painting created in 1633 by Dutch Baroque master Rembrandt van Rijn. This Oil-on-Canvas work is notable as both one of his largest and earliest paintings, uniquely representing his only seascape. The scene vividly depicts the biblical miracle from the Gospel of Mark, showing Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee with dramatic intensity. The painting was acquired in 1898 by art historian Bernard Berenson for Isabella Stewart Gardner, and it was displayed at her museum in Boston until its theft in 1990, leaving its whereabouts unknown.
