"Boar Hunt" is an panel oil painting by Peter Paul Rubens, exemplifying Baroque mastership. Created in 1616, it depicts a dynamic and vigorous hunting scene, characteristic of the genre painting tradition, showcasing Rubens's talent for capturing movement and emotion. Originally part of a series commissioned for Schleißheim Palace, the work was looted during the Napoleonic Wars. It is one of four hunting scenes portraying lion, wolf, boar, and hippopotamus hunts. The "Boar Hunt" was eventually returned to Munich, where it now resides in the Alte Pinakothek.
