"The Miraculous Draught of Fishes" is one of the seven Religious painting cartoons created by Raphael during the High renaissance period in 1515–1516. Designed as a detailed, large-scale drawing for tapestries commissioned by Pope Leo X, it depicts the biblical scene where Jesus instructs Simon Peter to cast his net into the sea, resulting in a miraculous catch of fish. The composition showcases Raphael’s masterful sense of perspective and clarity, emphasizing the sacred narrative. Restored and part of the British Royal Collection, the cartoons served as models for the Vatican's tapestries and remain an exemplary piece of High renaissance artistry.
