"Madonna with the Long Neck" is a distinctive Italian Mannerist (late renaissance) oil painting by Parmigianino, created circa 1535–1540. This religious painting depicts the Madonna and Child surrounded by angels, set against a rich canvas. Notably, the figures exhibit exaggerated proportions, particularly the Madonna's elongated neck, reflecting the stylized elegance characteristic of Mannerism. Originally commissioned for a funerary chapel in Parma, the work remained unfinished at Parmigianino's death. It was acquired by Ferdinando de' Medici in 1698 and has since been housed at the Uffizi Gallery since 1948.
