"Presentation of Jesus in the Temple" is a fresco by Fra Angelico, created for the Dominican Convent of Saint Mark in Florence during the Early renaissance. This religious painting depicts the biblical event from Luke 2:23–24, where Mary and Saint Joseph present the infant Jesus at the Temple in Jerusalem. Saint Joseph carries a basket with two doves, symbolizing offerings, as Jesus is held by Simeon. Interestingly, the scene includes Dominican saints Peter of Verona and Blessed Villana de' Botti, highlighting the event's significance as the fourth Joyful Mystery of the Rosary. The fresco's placement on the Wall emphasizes its role as a devotional image.
