Noah and the Rainbow

"Noah and the Rainbow" by Marc Chagall captures a vibrant biblical scene infused with his characteristic Surrealism influence. Painted with expressive Pastel on paper, the artwork portrays Noah’s Ark beneath a luminous rainbow, symbolizing hope and divine promise. Chagall often incorporated sketch and study techniques to develop his compositions, and his mastery of Indian ink adds depth and contrast. This piece exemplifies his ability to blend spiritual themes with bold colors and dynamic forms, characteristic of his time after Impressionism.
