Couple in a landscape

The painting Couple in a landscape exemplifies a unique blend of Naïve art with elements of genre painting, capturing an intimate scene of a couple against a simplified, almost childlike landscape. Executed in oil on panel, the artwork employs a flat perspective reminiscent of collage-like compositional techniques. Its vivid colors and straightforward depiction evoke a sense of innocence and spontaneity, making it a noteworthy example of outsider art that challenges traditional aesthetic boundaries.
