'The Shrine of Apollo: Milton's Hymn on the Morning of Christ's Nativity' is a series of Illustrations by William Blake, created between 1803 and 1815. Comprising of 16 pieces, six of which are Watercolor creations on Paper, and four are simple pencil drawings. These illustrations are visual representations of, and offer a unique insight into, John Milton's nativity ode, On the Morning of Christ's Nativity. Abundant in clear Symbolism, Blake's work decrypts and embellishes the rich imagery of Milton’s narrative with emotion and vivid colors.
