Blue Devils

"Blue Devils" by Christopher Ofili exemplifies his distinctive Neo-expressionism style, blending Figurative elements with punk art influences. The painting features vivid blue hues and layered textures created with resin, glitter, and unconventional materials like elephant dung and cut-outs from pornographic magazines. Ofili’s eclectic approach, incorporating diverse textures and provocative imagery, challenges traditional notions of beauty and art. Residing in Trinidad, Ofili’s imaginative techniques and choice of materials highlight a rebellious and innovative spirit that defines his work within contemporary art.
